anyone have any experience or luck bending a windshield frame back into shape?

i wanna say i read somewhere its a difficult task.

if it has a kink in it forget it
depends how bad it is,
but you need to apply opposite force while supporting it without it kinking on you
then it'll have to be held there for a while

My dad has been working on one for me for a while now and it's being a little difficult. One problem is there is a inner piece of alum. that is stronger than the outer part and so it wants to keep the bent shape. I thought I had some pictures of the jig he built to straighen it I will see if I can find them.
