You have your work cut out for you but it well all be worth it because you redid it instead of haveing someone just buying it for you or build it for you . I hope the top cleans up good for you . The dash is still nice to .

yeah, pretty much all of that junk that they started using as the floor is gone.. im not sure what im gonna make the floor out of yet thats up to my dad. i still have to cut the middle part out because there is a small crack in the bottom of the boat and im gonna glass it from the inside.. then put the floor in.. the floor isnt that big of a job thought.. it will mostly be the transum.. and yes im hoping that the top cleans up and looks good .. im gonna clean it get all the dirt out then im having one of my buddys gel coat the whole top for me. then one of my other buddys makes stickers im gonna have him make me the white stripes and the stars. :)

It needs more then just a floor. By the looks of it your going to be replacing the core as well. I wouldn't put that thing back in the water with an old soggy core. That's just asking for trouble. Do it all, core, transom, floor, and have a boat that will last you another 25+ years or more.

Yeap, Hip is right. It's going to be a wet tampon. Do the core too.

It's in better shape than mine when I started. I had noticed you didn't mention the core before but didn't want to bring it up yet but they are right. On the bright side it should come out easy.

The hull is made of a thin outer layer of fiberglass, then 1/2" of balsa covered by another thin layer of fiberglass. When these were made they weren't sealed very well at the factory so the balsa core rots out.

Here is a couple pics of my viper core.

This is after adding the glass over the core.
