Let me start with this is my first hydrostream,so i am learning daily
The lake was flat and boat is incredibly fast as soon as it reaches plane.Out of the hole is a problem(need to feather throttle).Thinking bob's machine cavitation plate should solve.Have engine 2nd highest jack setting 26 pitch prop.Also engine would load up while going down river(.5mi no wake zone)Removed carburetors and cleaned.Replaced spark plugs.Next 5 gallons of fuel i will mix 50.1

Sounds like a fairly good maiden voyage.
A cavitation plate should help some but might not cure the problem if you are caring a lot of weight. Are you running a over the hub prop? If you are just playing around and have extra weight in the boat a through hub prop might give you a better hole shot.

Just don't run real high rpm or under a large load at 50:1 and make sure you are using a good quality oil.
