converting from rollers to bunks the easy way

Post: # 9508Post 77viper »

I took my white viper over to a buddy's place so we could weld bunk supports and get rid of the rollers. This trailer is going under my good viper.

I dont no Chet I was thinking it would be a little easyier to pick the boat up with the overhead crane . But I no everybody dosent have a overhead so this works .But it brings up a issue Im about to have . Suprisingly no one has said anything about my Voyager trailer . The boat is sitting on two 4x6 that are sitting derectly on the trailer frame . My delema is where is the correct place to put the new bunks ? I"m thinking 4 bunks 1 on each side of the pad and one the outer flare of the hull right past the most outer flare on bottum of the hull for lack of better words well take a pic today to better explain .

Thats how mine is. I know they are the the greatest pictures but its what I have on my computer.

I have a bunk on each side of the pad that run 3/4 the way up the boat

Then I have some shorter ones that are way out on the outside and the boat sits on there super nice and plenty of support

Nevermind the dog. :D

Here is a little better shot of how the outside bunk is.

I just did 2 bunks but 4 would load easier. I would have used.the crane at work but would have to tow it 30 miles rather than 5.
