Hey guys what do u think of this
So i told the lady doing my hydrostream to make sure to put a piece of board between the stringers which is the core right? So i just told my dad i made her do that and he says im crazy because its just gonna rot and he used to not put it there and just lay thick fiberglass there what do u think?

You can use a variety of coring materials for a core. If you don't want wood, there is foam material made especially for this. Your boat was designed to have a core. It needs a proper core.

You can run a butt load of 1708 in there but why? When sealed correctly it wont get wet so there is no worry there. And plus all that fiberglass you will need to get the same strength will far outweigh balsa core.
Long story short, Just use balsa core. Its lighter, stronger, and way faster to put down. Just seal it up good and there will be no worries of it rotting out.

Thanks and i see you put board down the side of the stringers, the vipers dont need that right? just glass? and one piece middle of stringers (core) and ontop of them (floor)?

viper needs core through out bottom of hull. underneath one gunnel across to the other. the floor sits in the groove or floor register across and on top the stringers.

Here are some pics another board members Vipers. You've done the hard work already, young man. I encourage you to finish it with high quality materials. Down the road (or down the shoreline,) you'll be glad you did.

These guys are all right it needs core in the pad between the stringers straight resin would be like putting a piece of glass down there it well crack and have no strength .
