Windshield specs for top rail: 1985 Vulture

Guys, I need some help, I am in the process of getting windshield made for my Vulture.
What I need to know is:
1-dimensions on the top railing- thickness, length etc.
2-material used for railing: does it have to be alumunim? other types?
3-has anyone ever put a windshield on without the top railing?

I live on the Ia-Il border and well be taking all these items off a boat Im working on if you wanta come overand look at these parts or take my cracked shield for a pattern be cause I need anew one also as I now more members do to .It would be sweet if someone could make some of the windsheilds.

yes it would cause i need one for my 06 vking indeed i dont care bout the top railing longs as its sturdy anyone got a place were we can all get together and put in a few orders to make them more happier

theres a guy on S&F wanting to make windshields, he had something do with the original Hydrostream boats De Clar something like that, hes got a stream for sale on the site too and he lives somewhere over there Wis, Ill Min ,I dont remember

I have a place that I believe can make the windshield, I sent him the template US mail today, he doesn't make frames.
