MINX 18V

Post: # 1055Post V-King75 »

Hey I am new to the hydrostream seen and just bought a 84 v-king. During my search for a windshield I came across the Minx 18V (http://www.minxpowerboats.com) and wanted to know the story behind this boat. It looks very similar to the V-King.

I have never seen one in person and have herd from one person they are nice and another the build quality is poor. I would defiantly want to see one in person before I bought one.

There was a huge thread on S&F about this. I will see if I can dig it up and post the link here.

As far as the original build quality, what kind of shape is a 20-30 year old glastron in? And how many are in the scrap pile. We dig our own graves with these boats they are old and we still love them.

Just if anybody was curious I emailed them and asked if it was the original Viking mold and asked what price would be minus motor. This is what they replied with. -Chad

"Yes, this is the same as the V-King.

MSRP for a boat with rubrail, windshield, and carpet only is $6,000
MSRP for a boat with full interior and controls is $8,200.

A trailer will vary by dealer, about $1,200 - $1,500.

Best Regards,
