I'm assuming the picture you showed in your first post was taken awhile ago? I see WN numbers on it then and ID numbers that expired in 2016 now.

Have you had the core checked out? That will be the main concern most HydroStream guys will want to know. A recore is around $3-5k so it's a big deal to know for sure what you have.

A lot of garage queen boats have rotten cores. Just takes a few times with water in the bilge to soak thru the dry fiberglass and soak the balsa.

You might want to find out what year the powerhead is and how many hours are on it. A '96 225 is getting old. That newer powerhead is a bonus for sure. Just may need to document it.

Good luck with the sale.

The first picture was taken in April 2016 when we brought it home from Washington State. We have since registered it in Idaho and do have '17 tags, I just haven't put them on yet. My father in law looked for a Voyager XT for years before buying this one. He had it completely checked out when he bought it so I'm certain the core is good.

I hate to say this but if its original, its rotten. Also, without pulling up the floor, there is no way to know for certain if it is rotten but these old streams were not built the greatest due to high demand for them so they were making em as fast as they could and in turn, quality control was not the greatest. Also, Howard didnt build them back then expecting them to still be around 20, 30, 40+ years later. My Vulture is 40 years old and not many 40 year old boats like these are around anymore. Of course mine has had everything replaced, core, transom, stringers, and floor. Should be good for another 40 years easy now that it has been done right.

Just another note, unless you have proof that the core is good or has been replaced, most hydrostream buyers will assume it needs to be replaced and sadly, that will effect the price of your boat. Good news is, the hull looks to be in great shape and would absolutely be worth replacing everything in it. Not trying to discourage you by any means but when it comes to Hydrostreams, its just the facts of life. Ron couldnt have said it any better.

What size are the choppers? I'm looking for a 28 pitch. Also just want to add it's still a beautiful boat the gel looks brand new. It is hard to tell what price to put on it to sell it we all put $$$$ into a boat but at the end it's a labor of love. Hope to see this sometime in the spring
