1986 Voyager XT

Post: # 21853Post bje767 »

Wife and I just inherited a 1986 Hydrostream Voyager XT from her father. Boat is in completely original condition. Garaged its whole life, original carpet, seats, gel coat, etc in great shape... Dash has been upgraded with Faria gauges and he replaced the engine a couple years ago. Engine is a 1996 Mercury 225EFI with a 250 power head, some kind of nose cone and low water pickup. Boat has a hydraulic jack plate and hydraulic steering. We took it out and it runs perfect and is very fast. We also got a big selection of props with it. Currently has a 26p mercury chopper on it.

My questions are,
What would a good all around prop for this setup?
Wife is not sure if she wants to keep it or sell, what would this boat, motor, trailer package be worth?

Thanks for any input.

$500.00 and I'll pick it up next week. lol....
Let Phil Blomquist in Spokane know about your post. He has the same boat and may know what the going prices are for this boat.
I do know for a fact that they do tow pretty nice.

What a ****** sorry about that last post!!! He is trying to be funny. I have a Valero yt. Not a Voyager but have an idea on what there worth. But hard to tell from pictures and a post. If you still have it this spring I visit a nephew that lives in Meridian I could come by and take a look at it. The chopper would be a good prop but what else do you have for props?

Boat is tucked away in the garage for the winter. What do you want pictures of and I'll see if I can get them.

Got some pictures today...... Wife is definitely interested in selling it. As for props we have 2 choppers, 2 High Fives, Land & Sea Torque Shift, couple aluminum props and a composite prop.

As you can see it is all original except for the motor, controls and gauges have been updated. Motor is a 250hp EFI. 225HP decals keep the Coast Guard quiet.......
Upholstery and carpet all original and in great shape. Been garaged its entire life, bow cover, regular cover, ski pylon.

We know her dad just spent $7000+ on the new motor and rigging. So we're thinking $9000 OBO.
