heading to Texas for the winter nationals January 18th

I had a shitty race season last year starting with rolling the dr-20 and finished with a inspection hole in my fresh motor. I have decided I need to make up for it with a little trip to Texas to see how that southern water is.

Is there anyone else thinking about going? It sounds like a organized sand bar event.

We are leaving on Tuesday night and stopping at the lumber yard in Des Moines. I hope to be down there Thursday night, I will have a fresh power head and a bunch of changes that will need some time and adjustments so we will be on the water most of friday. We are leaving Sunday and should be back on Monday night.

I would love to go to byuboys but for whatever reason I tried to sign up their once like 4-5 years ago and they wouldnt let me and were complete *** holes to me about it cause I wouldnt give them my phone number when registering. I am not that guy to just hand out my phone number especially to a web site. I have been victim of a hacked database once and the person got everything except passwords, including phone numbers and I wont do it again. If someone wants my phone number to call me, then they can ask for it directly and I will be more then happy to give it to them if needed.

Well, I just tried to register again to see the link you posted and now it says my email address is banned when trying register so yeah, I cant see **** on that stupid web site so if anyone would be so kind to let me know all the details that would be wonderful. Thank you. lol

Sorry for the rant... Carry on people. lol

I was going to send you a message Cody, I want to check out your vector so I hope you bring it.

I know they don't allow hotmail and some other email accounts due to spam.

I should have started a thread already, but this'll do fine.... We decided we'd give a new place a try and see how it goes, like Greg said, it's called Cypress Coast and it's the weekend of Jan. 18. It's at the end of Highland Shores Dr.... coming from I-10 heading North on FM 2100 (which is exit 787, Crosby Lynchburg Rd.), it's the last road before Banana Bend Rd. Address is:
2730 Highland Shores Dr.
Highlands, Tx. 77562

The guy that owns it needs to get $10 a head and $10 a boat launch for Saturday....that's how he's gonna make his money
We get a huge sand area for parking, 3 boat launches, 1 in a protected cove with pier all the way around. He has parking for anything you want to park there, no hook ups this year though. If you bring a camper/rv, it's $35, but the driver gets a wrist band and boat launch for Saturday, everybody else is $10 for Saturday only. Also. we can use the swimming area to park boats which will get them out of the river conditions until you're ready to ride in your boat. He's gonna sell beer and bbq but you can bring your own and grill also, just can't sell any food. Gonna be porta cans and 1 flushing toilet if needed, you know how some women can be....got a pavilion real close to the one at Bhuloh and about 200' of pier on the water for viewing or sitting, etc
that's all I can think of for now... dmac

There are 2 of us going for sure, might be up to 4 more if they can put their big boy pants on. I'm going to have a fresh motor and am making a lot of changes so I'll be testing as much as possible on friday. I want to be down there Thursday night.

I picked up my block from the machine shop yesterday and should have it done today. Then all I have to do is swap mid sections, fuel system, add a trim pump and rewire a bunch of stuff. Then just hope it all works together down there.
