My original floor prior to recore was a 1/2" ply. since the original layup and construction techniques were questionable, I opted to go with 3/4" marine ply for the floor on this go-round. The last 4ft of my boat is layed up a bit heavier and when joined with a thicker floor section bedded into the strakes, makes for a much more rigid structure than originally designed. I decided I didn't want a lake racer so a little more beef/weight where it counts was ok with me. I don't have a true weight on it after the recore yet ( I'm sure its around 600lbs) but it can't be too much heavier as it went 83.7 @ 6400 w/ a 30ET 1/2" below the pad last weekend @ our Illinois River Run.
