Nothing yet but in the next 2-3 weeks there should be. Between recovering from the holidays and then being crazy sick the last 2 weeks things have been really slow going around here. lol

Hippie I hope you start feeling better soon so you can get back on the Vulture. Well I call express composites today and order one of those grinding wheels, hope it's speeds up the grinding, between mine, dads and brothers we need all the speed we can get, got to get them on the water soon

We will be using another layer of 3/4 oz matt under the core. That will make 5 layers of mat on the inside and there should be 2 layers of 2 oz mat on the outside. When whoever tried to do the core the first time they royally screwed up, there are more holes, cracks and cuts through the hull than I would have ever imagined. In all actuality this hull should have gone to the hydrostream gods in the sky but it will be fixed and a good solid hull when we are done.

We will be laying in core next weekend as long as our schedules work out.
I have to laugh when I look back at your older posts Hippie, feel like Im looking at mine. I was working on mine today and was so happy that with all the grinding I had done that I didnt put a hole in the bottom, till today. I must have gone a little to far with the grinder trying to get a nice flat area for the stringer to lay on when I went thru. Its in the exact spot that I see you had to patch on yours, toward the front on the port side were the 8 foot stringer ends. When I look at your pic. I see so many things that look just like my boat.
Hippie you said that you used 1 layer of 2oz mat under the stringers then 3/4 oz mat under the core, that will make 5 layers?? Were you have the holes you also put 2oz mat is that were you are counting the 5 layers? Were there were no holes is there 2 3/4 oz mat?
Hippie and Bill since you guys have put stringers in the Vulture already I just want to make sure of something, as the stringers get closer to the front and the hull starts to turn up did you guys have to trim the bottom of the stringers to follow the hull?

Well if this doesnt stink... I had a place all locked down for finishing up the fiberglass work so I could take it to a family friend for the body work and paint on the bottom and possibly the top as well and all that and then that fell through then found another place close to home and then the last minute they decided that they didnt want to have the fumes from the resin and stuff in the shop so they said no. So here I am with no place to work on my boat thanks to the cold weather. I could use my moms or my grandmas garage but my boat is to long by about 2 feet to fit in there.
Must be nice to be able to work on it inside, i do all my work outside in the vero beach, Florida HEAT! :x

Well, Thanks to this awfully cold/wet weather we have been having (Been in the mid 50's/low 60's at best) progress has not gotten far but still shooting for first part of June to be on the water. Trust me, I havent forgot about it at all. I look at it every day and ask the the weather gods why it has to be so crummy out. But as luck would have it, Its always nice when I have to work. lol Hope in 2 weeks the weather works out where I can hopefully get all the glass work buttoned up and flip it over and get to work on the bottom of it.
