Re: Project Hydrostream Vulture
Got a little more done today.
First I got the drain plug installed. I went with this one just cause my luck I would loose the thing so this way it always stays with the boat. Oh yeah, don't mind that crack at all, its just in the paint from when the transom was junk and I forgot to putty it up when I painted it recently. Dont worry, it doesnt leak or anything or go all the way through.. I'll be fixing it.
Next was operation put jack plate on. And there we go, all installed. The motivation level is getting up there now. I used some 4200 on all the bolts and also on the drain plug. And while I was at it, I put some 4200 under the ends of the rub rail for a little extra measure.
I had a piece of 1/4 inch aluminum here so I made my own top washer/transom plate and it worked out perfect. Looks a bit crude but works awesome and you'll never see it anyways.
More to come...

Re: Project Hydrostream Vulture
This is a major milestone. This happened today and WOW... Its starting to look like something.
And its on there! Just the top two bolts are holding it on right now cause the other two I have are a bit too long so im going to get some shorter ones this weekend.
And here it is. Lots to do yet and I still have to order the control cables. I wanted to get the motor on first so I could measure for them. I dont know if the old merc cables were exactly right, especially considering I moved the shifter and throttle around from where they were before.
Hopefully the weather actually holds out and I can maybe get more done on it this weekend. Fingers crossed.
Stay tuned...

Re: Project Hydrostream Vulture
Thanks!!!! Thats the plan anyways. Hoping in a few weeks, so long as the weather holds out so I can work on it anyways. Im kinda forced to work to work on it outside in the driveway right now so I have to work around the weather, and of course the hour or three I might get after work during the week.
Oh yeah, I know we spoke about it a good while back and wondering if you would still be willing to do some gas tank modifications for me?

Re: Project Hydrostream Vulture
Well, progress has been slow due to work being really busy all of a sudden and then the weather but I've gotten a little bit of stuff done. I have been taking pics here and there along the way so once I get some good progress, I will post more pictures.
