Hydrostream Hustler Vpad with Chrysler 105hp Stacker Racer
Just thought I would share some photos of my latest Hydrostream Hustler project.......This is the smallest Hydrostream Pipkorn built 11.6 feet. The hull is a Vpad with (10.5 inch pad) not the tunnel version....I took a Merc 3 cylinder off it and replaced it with a Chrysler 4 cylinder 105hp outboard and added the racing tower and foot. I removed the Stacks for testing purposes as not to wake up local Law enforcement........I machined a cover plate to cover the tower and created a new steering plate so I could remain cowless. Chrysler built racing motors from around 1969 thru the mid 70's and won many races.....Chrysler racing outboards were offered in 105,120,135 Stacker and the elusive 150 Stacker 4 cylinders with 7% overdrive direct drive Gearcases.....Just finding any Chrysler racing motor and or parts is very tuff....The boat sits well in the water and is not at all back heavy as the motor weighs around 225lbs with trim.....Handling has been outstanding during the test runs with no trouble at high speeds unless you get into that trim too far.....Motor operates at 5600 rpm with the prop spinning around 6000....I am running a Phil Rola vintage Record prop 10"diameter 14 pitch 2 blade........Once testing is complete I will repaint the outboard and run with the Stackers at Vintage meets...
The first test run was 66mph....GPS

Really nice boat. I still plan to come down from Minocqua with my teenagers who are helping me recore the Vulture to see your collection some day when time permits. Bill

Man I drool all over the computer looking at that Black Voodoo.......I like 'em all though, and the chrysler motor is just too cool. I love vintage boats.
