Prop game

Post: # 15563Post Varigeo »

Im looking for some feedback on surface props. I've got a Vegas with an 86 225 evinrude on it, looks to be a 4 or 5" setback with a hydraulic backplate and low water pickups. I want to get a surface prop but am wondering What pitch because props aren't cheap. Or if any one has anything they were looking to get rid of, I would gladly buy it. Thanks

27 srx if you can find one. A 28 chopper would be my second choice.

You'll have to excuse my lack of knowledge as surface props are pretty much a new thing to me. What do you mean by srx? Also what height should the motor be set at.

A srx is a omc prop that us no longer made thus a little hard to find.

Start with the propshaft even with the pad, go up from there.

From talking with DAH propeller, they made this prop for OMC, but I think Bombardier didn't want to continue with it. Took them out of high performance in the stock sense.. sort of. E-Tech doesn't really have any high perf propellers now.

We were talking about your mach the other day im not sure if I wanna go used or new. Obviously used is wayyy cheaper. I was told Hoss makes a decent prop and customer service is excellent with getting you setup right . But again this is just what I've heard.
