Re: search issue

Seems to be fixed. I had to delete and rebuild the search index and then turn the common word threshold down a little. My guess is, where the settings were at, it seen that the word Transom is used a lot and decided it was a much too common word so it excluded it from the search index.

Anyways, looks like it might be fixed, for now. lol

I'll check it out today. That is weird. I personally havent really used the search function much and when I did I never had any issues. I will check it out though. Sorry about that.

Hey Hippie, just wondering about the forum search settings.

I was in the Fiberglass and Composites Discussion sub-forum and tried using the "search this forum" box (next to the New Topic button) and entered the word "transom"
The forum flipped me off with a message:

The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: transom.

I understand its a common word but its an important word.
But the forum had no problem giving me results for the word "pad" (91 results), or "glass" (82 results).

Does the forum search function have some sort of limit settings that will give this error if it finds more than X number of results? (Wondering if its something like for example over 100 results that it will then be ignored).

Thanks
