Just because I'm really interested in seeing how you built that rear bench in the Viper. I'm probably gonna have to go the same route - pontoon bench seat modded to fit, and mounted on a base/frame. Just not sure if it should be permanently affixed to the floor, or built as a box mount for easy removal.
I found one on Amazon from Wise that matches my single bucket seat.

(this post is to remind Ron to remind Caprice to teach him how to upload pics to his FTP server so Ron can come back here and fix all his posts that contain broken TinyPic images.)

I looked high and low for the best looking and fitting seats for the Viper.

Overtons was the winner. Usually overlooked when seat shopping.

Mine were listed under pontoon boat seating. The seats were very firm and held you in great!!! The frames were roto molded plastic so no rot!!

I think I paid $750.00 for the set and bought matching vinyl for the side panels, all from Overtons.

Here's the rear seat for the Virage.
I made the frame and had it upholstered.

My Viper had pontoon boat seats.
The backrest was too tall so I carefully took upholstery off and shortened the frame.

The seats and bench came with the boat when I bought it in 08. Looks great, but not the lightest interior out there. But this is going in my family boat. Shouldn't be too hard to make the box bottom, just match it to your floor and hull. Backrest is the tricky one. Will get side pics
