thats a good deal just for the motor alone the nitrous is going to be wicked how does it hook up... is thru the carbs/efi or is it shot in ontop of the cylinders thru the heads never really heard of it being done on one so kinda interested here and are you running some kind of stroked cranke with flat top piston and titanium rods with a shaved power head for more compresion of just stock iam real curios might have to take my xr4 150 off the stand lol and forget the fishing boat ...............ummmmmmmmmm would make another good topic 2.4 nitrous systems for all you high speed hydrostreamers lol

The mid is a 20" with a 5" spacer and I have a couple extra gearcases and drive shafts to convert if I need to but I might sell it complete minus the power head.

I checked it out and it had 120 psi on all cyl with a average of 6% leakdown so I paid him a grand for it. He was a nice guy and I'm ready to put the nitrous to my 2.4 so I might need it soon.

Wow. The guy really thought he could run it that way? That engine would have been history. Good find for an engine Chet.

I now have a promax block sitting on my kitchen floor, 2 more 2.5 200 in the shop but all need to go to ruck so I was kind of looking for a running motor just to get me by for now. I went to a side job where I was just doing a impeller and fixing a oil leak on a motor that had sat for a while. Once I got there I was amazed what this thing that once was a boat looked like. The boat was a 1980 imperial that looked like it sat outside since 1970 without a cover. The top of the transom was pulled out a good 5". I told him I wouldn't work on it because it would be unsafe to tow it let alone try and put it in the water. So I ended up buying it off him tonight and it's now on the vegas. To give you a idea how rotted it was we only removed the top bolts and used a skid loader to pull the bottom bolts and washers through the transom. The motor is a 1985 2.4 so it will end up as a back up powerhead for the viper.

I lost my phone but I took some pictures of the rotted mess.
