It will fit corner to corner.

I used Rayplex epoxy, balsa, marine plywood, sundries and various 12, 6, 4 oz cloths and weaves. I think the total was about 2500 for all the fibreglass stuff. Paint, and wrap, etc not included in the 2500

I bought my glass weaves, cloth, and balsa from Noah’s marine. The fillers, resins, and Sundries from Rayplex.

I bought a 78 vandal, questions. is a 11 by 17 ft garage big enough, and what was the material cost of the restoration.

I rigged up the Vandal!!!! Bare minimum. It’s setup about 2.5 inches below the pad with a 13.75 x 21 aluminum prop. Trim on the wheel, and a hot foot.

Motor runs flawless. It’s super fun to drive. The acceleration to about 50 mph is addictive.

I was jumping it, and giving it a beating to see if the work held up. So far after many inspections I only tore up the control box mount of the hull a tiny corner.

For next time out I’m going to plug the top water intake hole on the lower, raise it an inch, and maybe try the 14 x 24 small ear chopper. I need solid mounts real bad though.

That's crazy that that is a wrap. I would love to do a white flake on my boat. I have never seen it before. Looking great though!

Thanks for the props hippie! I’m determined to get it wet in 2021. I got a bobs convertible jackplate that I’ll run in 2.5” mode, a hot foot, dual cable rotary style steering that I don’t know if it is a great move, and a 90’s Johnson 115 crossflow v4 to rig up.

I wrapped the deck in white vinyl. I used to wrap stuff for a living, but got out of it 8 year ago. It was 100% free cost for me. If it holds up ok I may spring for some metal flake vinyl which would be roughly $400 in materials. They have all the great colours including a white metal flake that is really cool.

I also weighed the boat as it is now. It comes in at 340lbs. Not to bad from what I gather. I didn’t skimp on resin or use lite weight materials. The only differences from original I know of are epoxy, vacuum bagged core, transom knees. I did put a layer of 4oz weave on both sides of the floor, and put a layer of glass on any wood anywhere. That’s definitely more then factory efforts from what I seen tearing it apart.

Painted it with Endura paint. Roll and tipped. 2 coats. Hope it holds up. People report its excellent boat paint, but it’s still paint. Not gell. I didn’t want to invest in the equipment and education around spraying gell coat.

Blue printing and straightening out the bottom. And a million blisters to fill. I don’t have many pictures, but this took a ton of time filling and sanding. I added cloth anywhere it was over .050 deep. For the blisters I mixed up some milled fibers and cabosil.
