Lovingly restored 1986 18’ HydroStream Valero YT, boat and trailer only. I bought this boat last November from the person who restored this classic HydroStream. This was his baby. The previous owner once worked for a boat fiberglass repair shop and he completely re-shot the boat in gel-coat. He also invested over $1,000 in replacing the interior which is still in great shape. The gauges and controls look newer and there are controls for both Mercury and OMC outboards. The hull will handle up to 225 HP. There are some minor gel-coat cracks and chips in addition to some scratches on the bottom, but there are no significant problems that I could see and I looked over the boat very carefully.
I rode as a passenger in the boat only once last November. The boat did 85 MPH with the 225 ProMax with a Mazco RE 29” prop. The boat rides and handles very well at that speed.
I am selling it because I bought a 2002 Allison SS-2000 and I need the ProMax for my Allison.
Here are a list of options that were installed when the boat was restored: Land & Sea Hydro-electric transom lift / Sea Star Pro Hydraulic Steering / Rex 2" billet aluminum steering adaptor / Rex stainless steel 3 spoke steering wheel / Rex billet aluminum steering wheel hub / wheel mounted trim switch / Aluminum foot throttle / 18 gal fuel tank / high pressure electric fuel pump /Rex billet aluminum grab handles / Full instrumentation / Alpine CD player W/I-Pod interface / Alpine 100 watt power amp / Deluxe high density foam custom interior W/adjustable front seats / Cipa Wing II mirrors / Swivl-Eze Ski pylon.
The trailer is a 1975 EZ-Loader. It does have some surface rust and could use a matching paint job and better fenders, but it is still in good condition for its age. The tires are good and lights work. It tows just fine at highway speeds.
This HydroStream is now for sale on eBay with a low reserve of $2,500. Here is the link.
