Jim_B,
I have a 79 Vulture I have completely re-done. I originally had a 77 Vulture, but got stupid one day and sold it. I bought another one about 6 years back, and completely documented the re-build in a thread on here. I didn't have any setback on the first, but have 6' hydraulic on VNo2. It makes a big difference. Easier to get trimmed out right, and better all around ride. the Vulture does like a lot of power. 175 E-tec will probably be enough, but I recommend 200+. Make sure the core is good. Stay safe and sorry for the delayed response. Oh by the way, I keep my Vulture in Minocqua so if you want to get together and run next spring, let me know. Did you get it in the water this summer? Very similar usage. Both I and my kids were show and tournament skiers.
