I have no idea what anyone charges to do it, I had about $50 in materials. When I started I thought it would be a quick project that I could do on my lunch breaks for a couple days but I think it took about 10 hours and major pucker factor drilling a big hole in the side of the case.

Chet what is the cost savings doing it your self ? I wnt to put lwp on my Valero . And thanks for sharing info.

Oh by the way, you got any used temp senders layin around? The nut wouldn't come off of mine and now it's open circuit. I'll buy one off ya. Thanks

Ya Rick that's how I did mine, but I used polyester and microballoons to fill it up just under the fitting. I still took it off this fall and brought it into the house.
