Can they be imported as a tool to use for building boats? As in a plug, not intended to have the end use as a boat.... If so, what would costs be to have a new "home made" hull pass certifications?

Yikes! Thats a lot of fees and taxes just to import something like a boat. Im guessing the laws there are a lot stricter when it comes to watercrafts.

Hi,

Dumbs UE import rules are :

[Price of the boat in US + 25% (overtax since 2018) + transports cost] X VAT 20%...
And after that, you need a CE certificate on the boat (a stupid test to say the boat is ok with the rules of UE, which cost more than 2000€ : considering all 2 strokes will be refused, you have to import a 4 strokes and not a lot Hydrostream run with 4 strokes ATM)

Example : 10.000€ boats

10000 + 25% = 12500
12500 transports costs, let's say 3000 = 15500
15500 X VAT (20%) = 18600

+ CE certification cost (2000€ depends of the lengt of the boat) = 20600€.

Buy a boat 10000€ in US, you have to pays the double at the end.

This is seriously boring...

What are the "union rules"? Not familiar with any of the import stuff.

Unless one of more found its way over there over the years, import is going to be your only real option. There is a guy that has a hydrostream Virage he had imported. I forgot where of the top of my head, then he pulled a mold of it and built a few of them.

Hi everybody,

I am desesperatly searching one of those two hulls in Europe  (import from US become too much complicated with dumb european union rules :| )

If you have any clues about where can i find this, it could be really great.

Plz, no scam, anyway, i will detect it rapidly.

Thank you for paying attention.

Léonard
