Re: 78 Vector
Thanks! The paint is Alexseal metallic (2-stage) Lagoon Blue (M5991). It seems to be holding up pretty well, but I’m sure not as durable as a gel coat, especially with getting on and off trailer and boat lift bunks, where there are a couple scuffs—from the looks of it, my boat definitely has a recen...

Re: 78 Vector
I was planning to keep the metal trim because whoever buys the boat when I am ready to sell would probably want it.

Re: 78 Vector
I got it from UDP plastics last summer. I decided not to re-install the top metal trim to make getting into it easier.

Re: 78 Vector
Thought I would post a couple updated pics of my Vector from the end of last season —changed the flooring, seats, added an acrylic windshield…a little more tuning I think and will be in the low 50s with the 90 etec [ Post made via iPhone ] https://www.hydrostreamforums.com/ext/sniper/mobiledevice/im...

Re: 78 Vector
There is a lot to say about the compromises made on this one. I agree about the pedestals—but the 12 inch pedestals sit me just high enough to see the shoals and sand bars better (necessary , even with a simrad) without constantly having to stand up—boat is being used is inland coastal waterways aro...

78 Vector
Had to sell my 79 Varmint a couple years ago—got a 78 Vector last fall keeping at my parents’ house in NC, 800 miles from where I live in MI—got it painted over winter, got down there this past week to hang motor and get it on the water.Actually drives great with etec 90 ( don’t laugh). I’ll attach ...

Re: Varmint **SOLD**
Sorry to say, but I sold the boat last month— sorry for not updating this post until now. Good news is that it went to a great home— an avid Hydrostream fan down in Georgia... motor unfortunately will suffer the indignity of pushing around a slow pontoon. Got a new Checkmate 2000brx, but still on th...

Re: Varmint **SOLD**
Due to lack of interest, putting motor on new pontoon.
Hull/ trailer available (with rigging)...will re-list on Facebook site once motor is off of it in a month or so.

Re: Varmint **SOLD**
Core and transom have Not been replaced. The boat looks great cosmetically, drives great, and doesn’t have stress cracks that I can find, but if I were keeping the boat those would be done right away knowing this is a 40 year old Hydrostream. Unfortunately it was easier to find a dealer to repower t...
