Here is my vking, still need to lay down 2 layers of 1708, then tab in my outside braces where Hydrostream never attached the upper cap stringers to the transom. Re: Interior floor paint over epoxy.
I’ve been looking at rustoleum topside pretty heavily. Thought process is that if something were to happen, I can touch it up with something local. There is literally Nothing fiberglass sales related anywhere around where I live. S [ Post made via iPhone ] https://www.hydrostreamforums.com/ext/snipe...

Re: Layers of 1708 on transom
I would say yes. Make sure first layup goes another 10 inches outside each side of the transom and the second 5 inches on each side. Maybe 7 inches and 5 inches, but something like that. Re: Layers of 1708 on transom
Are the two layers of 1708 enough on the outside (side facing bilge) of the transom?

Re: Layers of 1708 on transom
I tend to overthink things, probably should’ve stuck to the 1.5, Oh well. I’ll drop in some braces and call it a day then.

Re: Layers of 1708 on transom
Mine was what I considered to be thin, but I don’t have anything to compare it to. No other streams around me with the transom ground out. I went with 3 layers of 3/4 on mine bedding in with corebond thinking that would beef things up. [ Post made via iPhone ] https://www.hydrostreamforums.com/ext/s...

Layers of 1708 on transom
How many layers of 1708 is typically done on the inside of the transom? I have two layers on it now that both end way up in the wing. The ends are staggered as well. Also tabbed the bottom in with two layers. I also laid two layers of 1708 in before I bedded the transom. Those ends staggered as well...

ISO dual cable steering
Looking for a complete dual cable steering setup for my varmint. Can be either teleflex or ride guide, just as long as it’s a true dual rack cable steering.
Thanks in advance!!!!

Transom exterior skin after transom removal
After I removed my rotten transom, and ground the old wood off of the skin, I’ve noticed it is kind of wavy and not straight. Is this something that will go away after I put a few layers of glass over and kept it straight before I bed the transom in? [ Post made via iPhone ] http://www.hydrostreamfo...
