So I am about to begin on my viper. Prior to putting the balsa down do you seal the bottom face of the balsa with epoxy or do you just lay it dry on top of wet resin 1708? I have read about ATC Core-bond but is that necessary? Wouldn't the core bond to the wet 1708 just fine? .

New to Hydrostreams, just bought 2 in one week.
Greetings, I am new to these boats. Pulled the trigger on a Vector and a Viper in the same week. Both are 1977 models. The Viper is a project, Vector is not. Considering doing the core myself but would rather pay to have it done right if I can find a shop in the midwest.
