Re: What are some of your non-hydrostream boats.

Thought I'd throw this one in there too. 1989 Seebold 265 Silver Eagle. Built by famed boat racer Bill Seebold. 454 Magnum Bravo One. I sold the boat a few years back when my wife informed me we'd outgrown her and needed a cruiser! Out of all the boats I've owned over the years she's the only...

Re: 78 Vector

I'm glad to hear your happy with the Alexseal paint. At this point that's the paint i have been leaning towards. The guys who paint boats for a living have been raving about it. Some have said it's better than Awlgrip in ease of application and durability. I have plenty of time to make up my mind th...

Re: 78 Vector

beautiful boat! I'm in the process of restoring an 81' Vector myself. Love that blue paint! Is it metallic or gloss? What type/brand of paint is it? Did you shoot a clear on top? How is it holding up below the waterline? Don't mean to ask a thousand questions but that color is awesome.

Re: New to me 81 Vector

Thanks for the recommendation. I've done a little research and am now considering some type of composite foam board for the stringers and floor too. I have gotten the rest of the floor removed so now I'm thinking as to what type of jig or additional support to use before going any further. I did buy...

Re: New to me 81 Vector

Yes, I like the Bruiser color scheme and was hoping to be able to clear coat it but after power washing, it appears too far gone. Will be painting the deck & hull. A re-gelcoat will be too cost-prohibitive. As of now, I'm leaning towards painting the entire boat Chevy Hugger Orange. Your right ...

New to me 81 Vector

Hello. I posted on the introductions about a week ago about my new Vector. I was wanting to post a few pics of the boat and I have a question I was hoping someone can help me with. I have started removing the floor but I don't want to go any further until I have more support under the hull. The trai...

New to me Hydrostream owner

Hello, I just joined and would like to introduce myself. I recently purchased an 81' Vector. I have always loved the looks of the classic Hydrostreams and the performance potential. When I found this one not too far from home and a Vector on top of that I had to buy it. The boat is a big-time projec...
