check your lower engine bolts and make sure it isnt leaking in there. i had that problem once

im far from a boat mechanic. i piddled with my previous 87 2.4 and now with my 79-83? 2.4 200 and that about all i am familiar with. im sure someone else can chime in on the 2.0. but i would imagine it is very similar in most ways to a 2.4
