Re: splashwell corner CRACKED again!

not to revive an old thread but just picked her up today, all the cracks in the well had allowed water to seep into the transom. It was solid except for the outer 2" on both sides, well she is all fixed now, tank is in the floor knees are in, transom is new and ready to re-rig. finally it only ...

Re: Todd buckets installed

Took it out tonight for a good run, the seats are really nice and have a lot of support. I still need to play with props, I have my 4 blade performance prop DR4 30P on right now, but at high speed and the motor high it almost feels like it's chine walking. I dropped it down a bit, trimmed in and out...

Re: Todd buckets installed

Hi Ron, They have a lot more support in the seat and upper back the foam is good and stiff you do not sink in like in a skater bolster or the like, I would probably spend more money on better slides (the ones I used are swivel-eze and they have a little play in the mechanism) or make lower posts and...

Todd buckets installed

Hey All, Here are some pics of the new Todd buckets in the Virage on 6" fixed bells with sliders and swivels. I did not grind the floor where the boxes were I figure I'll be cutting up the brand new 1/2" BS1088 Okoume floor that was just installed in about a month or so anyhow. I may still...

Re: splashwell corner CRACKED again!

That is slick for sure, aaron did a fab job on that boat. You know I was looking at the new tank designs on the Victory motorcycle tanks and they have one that is flat black with a white semi circle in the middle and then red pin-striping between the white and black, it looked really slick and I tho...

Re: splashwell corner CRACKED again!

Decided to re-do it again. gonna loose the ski locker and move the tank to the floor, loose the splash well and another very cool mod that I will keep you in suspense on if I can find a glass guy that I can trust to do it properly. I still think that the transom is solid I tested a small area a coup...

Re: splashwell corner CRACKED again!

Yes that was the first time they repaired it, The 2nd time they went right into the area re-glassed and gelled the corners but yes it was a patch the first time. I was willing to put a transom in it, they took a core sample and said it was fine and the wood around the holes is not rotten. I pulled t...

Re: splashwell corner CRACKED again!

HI Joe, OH Yes, my first boat was a Vector and I learned to drive boats in a vector with a 2.6 GT on it. Those were the days. We used to frequent Jim Tucker all the time when he was doing Cdn editions. Visions, VooDoo etc, actually I got to water test the voodoo with the prov 50 on it with Jim when ...

Hey All, I am witts end. I have sunk a truckload of money into my Virage with re-do and paint etc, I never wanted to lose the splashwell, I went out last week it was a little rough but nothing nuts came back in and the same crack appeared in the same location on the corner splash well, I have the tr...
