What cable steering nfb or non nfb. Got my jack, and now want to replace the steering. Also drill the transom to the plate or,,,, plate to the transom. Non bia clamp.
thanks, Rick.....
I love my hyd steering but I'm going to try cable and wing plate on my vking.
It' is a tough choice on what to drill. If there is enough material on the jack plate I would drill that. If not make sure to use wood dowel pins in the old holes and seal them well.

How much setback did you get on that jackplate? Good to see you are thinking summer. I'm about to get going again. Hope to still get it done by spring. Bill
Bill, it's just a cmc ml-65. 5 1/2" set back. This boat don't need a lot of set back. Just need less motor in the water. Chet I think I'm going to drill the jack. Don't want a swiss cheese tramsom. Lynn, I'll trust your word about the steering like I did with the jack. Thanks guys.
Think spring, it's a comin
