In this months update,
All the holes in the transom have been drilled. They were drilled oversized and then thinned resin was brushed into the holes, allowed to soak into the wood, and before it cured a resin putty was packed into them, creating a solid resin plug. The final holes were then drilled through the resin.

Brass drain tubes were pressed into the splash well and bilge.

Transom tie downs were bolted in.

New rub rail was fabricated from aluminum sheet metal and installed.

Deck supports bolted into the stringers.

Thanks!

It is an old L&S. Its basically NOS, so the slides are brand new. He said it was only used a few times. I'm actually considering pulling one out and seeing if I can get a bunch remade since so many people seem to need them.

In the last month I've been a little busy with other things besides the boat. But I did get a big jump on the nose cone. I modified the bobs cone by filling the furtherest starboard intake hole. I also chamfered the remaining holes a bit. I built a water passage from sheet metal instead of using a hose, I've just never liked the look of a hose. The cone and passage are both 100% TIG welded. A sheet metal torque tab was added to the skeg. I used the epoxy putty from bobs to start fairing out the lower.

I've been slowly plugging away at the wiring harness as well.

Bigle pump instal is complete. The drain tube routing is a bit complicated due to the complete lack of space under the splash well from the large fuel tank I built.

Work continues on the wire harness. It is nearly finished at this point. I had a temporary switch plate made so work could continue on the harness.

Radio is in and completely wired. I love how well it sounds and the fact that it's completely hidden. There's an app for the phone that will completely run the stereo so no need to even look at it. Only thing it could use is a bit more bass. Looking into how I could fit a small sub and keep it hidden. I've been thinking between the seat backs of the back to back seats. There's a USB charging port next to the radio.

The original horn went beck in and is finished.

The wires on the passenger side are wrapped in loom and installed for good.

Paddle switches for the trim and jack plate are in. The plate in the picture is temporary, I'll make a new one soon.

Once the wiring done I'll get back to finishing the lower.

With a vacation, Christmas, and side work all in the last month a bit less has been accomplished. But I've been plugging away at it none the less.

The wiring is 95% completed. I have all the switches set in a temporary switch panel so I was able to complete the wiring while waiting for my permeant panel. Everything is able to be switched on and ran from the battery. No more hooking jumper wires to each component to test it.

I opened up the control box and wired in a neutral safety bypass as well as a lanyard kill switch.

The ski tow bar came back from the polisher, the rear mounts are installed.

I've reached a point where I can do no more work on the hull until more parts arrive. Not counting a new interior, that still needs to be done.

Work on the lower unit has been resumed until more parts arrive.

The interior work is finished and just waiting for upholstery at this point. That is the one part of this build I'm going to farm out and pay a pro to do. I have none of the required tools, or space, and it's a very visible part of the boat. 1/2" Bluewater 26 Coosa was used to rebuild the factory style back to back seats. I'm pretty heavy with the hull so now trying to save a bit of weight where I can haha. 3/8" PVC board was used for the gunnel panels and the rear panel.

The work on the lower was finished and was painted along with the mid with an epoxy primer and single stage acrylic enamel. I found a cheap "paint booth" on amazon for about $45. Like a 3 sided camping tent. Worked well to contain most the over spray.

The mid, adapter plate, solid mounts, SeaStar tournament ram, and power head were installed.

She's getting close!
