Got the putty sanded and two coats of some scrap gelcoat sprayed over the filler.
Spent 7 hours wet sanding the gelcoat with 180 grit.

Time to mask and start spraying.

First color is on.
Straight white gel to cover filler then three coats white gel 50:50 with Dura Tec additive.

Sprays out like car paint.

Spent a couple hours covering the white and outlining the red. Got the red sprayed and edge tape removed.

Wrapping the top edge of the windscreen.

Sides are thin enough that the glass doesn’t want to roll over the top so some putty was put on the top edge as the 1708 was rolled over. No air bubbles and formed nicely.

Looking great that’s the pain of the project tape lines only to tape more and wait.

Yep, that’s it.
Got the light gray on this morning. Pictures look the same as before but they’re not . Lol!!
Had some extra gel in the gun. Rather than dump it, I added some thickener and made putty for the windscreen.

Medium gray went on with no issues.
Another small batch of gelcoat putty was put on windscreen.

After I mask each color, I go over the area with 180 grit again just to make sure I have good “tooth”.

Last of the stripes (Dark gray) on this morning.

Wet sanded all black area again and got rub rail perimeter masked off.

Stern D-rings were loosened and pulled out so gel can get behind them.

Drain tubes are pulled and holes plugged off.

Black went on and stripes unmasked.

Hopefully tomorrow I can wet sand and spray the clear.

Today I wet sanded the stripes flat and got two coats of clear on.
I’ve been rolling the boat outside to spray then promptly rolling it back in. Saves making a booth. It’s bright, no dust, no bugs. Well, today a few bugs were emerging and decided to land in the clear.
I was hoping to not sand anymore on the hull but such is life….
