Need a short windshield for a Venus

Post: # 4212Post rev.ronnie »

Hi,

I'm looking for a short (6") rear slanted windshield and frame for a Venus. I have the tall one on there now and it's just ugly and creates too much downforce. Is a Vegas the same?

I would also be interested in having new Black Lexan panels made for mine and I could shorten the frame if that's the last option. I would prefer to keep the original one in storage though, for originality's sake. Who can make Lexan panels? I'm in MN.

If someone on here has done this before, I would consider just having the whole thing done for me too.

Thanks, Ron

Topic moved to the classified section.

Off hand I can't recall what the Venus windshield looks like. Is that the forward facing one? Could you post a picture of yours and maybe I could come up with something. No promises though.

windshield on my valero was glass
(if that's the one you're talking about)
i think the venus came with 2 the main one and the forward facing one
not sure if it was an upgrade, some have just one some have both
i'm sure mine was double paned as well
probably wouldn't be too expensive to get one cut

I will be talking to a guy that makes his own wave wacker type plexiglass panels. He is out of Shakopee, I need to do something with my viper.
I don't have a windshield on my vegas to compare.

I have looked at it better now, and I think someone who does Lexan cutting and bending could do a nice windsheld pretty easily. The deck has a "ledge" moulded in and it does not need a frame, I'll try to get a pic tomorrow. I have the boat at the other house and have been battling this lower unit/heat problem..I have it figured out anyway.

Thanks guys, Ron
