WHAT A DAY!

Post: # 16927Post YDOC462 »

got up this morning, beautiful weather outside, ready to have a great day! hooked up to the boat and headed for the boat shop. spent a few hours discussing with the mechanic our plans on tweaking the motor a bit. also i picked up a new toy/project to play with!
left the shop and headed for the body shop to get some zinc primer to spray the lower with, had a nice conversation with the painter about the boat and learned some new (to me) painting techniques.
when i left there i swung by another shop and had them bedliner a stainless plate i made to backup a grab handle i installed. they were super cool and sprayed it for free! :P

next destination was the local parts store to pick up some things i need for the "new toy". as im leaving.....i said to myself....."self, this has been a great day. cant wait to get home a dink around with some of the new things then head for the river tomorrow!"

thennnnnnnnnnn............my ol' lady called as i was pulling out on the feeder road. as im talking to her, trying to navigate this horrible friday afternoon traffic, my dumbass drops the trailer tire off in a ditch and smashes it into the broken up curb consequently tearing the tire and axle oout form under the trailer!!!! :banghead:  :slap:

tore the fender up and scratched the bottom of the boat up in a couple of spots :cry1:
with the help of some very kind people and a few hours i was able to limp home adn get the boat put away, away from the potential of doing any more damage, away from ME!

but....................heres me new toy.

Love the new cowl. Sucks about the boat and trailer.
