Don't' forget to document your build. If you sell in the future, it will prove it was done.
Please start a restoration thread so we can see your progress.

I will start the build thread when I can figur out how to shrink photo files enough to be able to post them. I was grinding the inside of the hull a bit yesterday. Had full intentions of just half a$$ing it and slapping a floor in it and mounting the tower of power. Well, I ground through the core skin in a couple places and decided to check it out. As expected, its shot. So, the project time line just got stretched by a year. Since the bad core is looking me right in the face, I might as well do it right. So I will be cutting the core out this afternoon and trying to figure out what to do next. The good thing is, now I can justify painting it when I'm done. As well as searching out a different motor. 115 would have likely been fine, but I am thinking a 225 OMC is in order now :)

Are you taking pics with a camera or cell phone? You should be able to change the camera settings on your phone to take smaller resolution photos if that's what you're using.

Yeah, I have a file size limit but im working on something so that should be an issue but right now, I have the file size limit so that loading the site/topics on a mobile device doesnt take ages and plus wont take up so much bandwidth and keep the size of the site down for back ups. I dont feel like sitting through hundreds of gigs of files to download every week.

Using a phone, all I got. I'll look into it. Spent 2 hours getting itchy yesterday. Surprisingly, not the whole core is shot, only about 1/4 is rotten, the rest is fine. Which I think was worst case scenario, because it makes it 10 times harder to remove the old core when it is still bonded. This boat seems to be all like that. The transom was horrible in about a 1'x1' spot. But only the outer layer of wood. It was 3 sheets of ply that were individually laminated, so the 2 inner layers were fine. The core appears to be similar in that three inches from the edge is gone, but the rest is solid. Such a pain.

Any recomendation on the best tool to remove it?

Oscillating tool would work for core removal.
