My dual steering cables on my '92 Voyager are stiff so its time to replace them. The numbers have disappeared from the cables but it appears they are 12' or 13'. Has anyone done this and can anyone tell me the length of cables on a Voyager? Any installation tips?
Being a 20 foot boat, they have to be a lot longer than 12 or 13 feet. Off hand im not sure but I know the ones on my Vulture (20 foot boat also) are 18 feet. I would bet prob around 16 feet maybe. Might have to pull one off and measure it. What type of steering is it? If its a TeleFlex, them are easy to get cable for, if its the original Ride Guide, I know they were no longer available for a good while but I heard someone is making a replacement cable for them but not sure who off hand.
