Forum guys goin out this week

Post: # 8697Post silkeysak »

Talked to Johnboy88Vegas today. We're both Savannah, Ga. guys, so we're putting in at Butterbean Park (better known as the Redneck Riviera) for a day out this week. Weather should be in the mid eighties and sunny this week. Having timing set in the morning after changing the timer base. I just had my prop worked to add more cup, and I'm anxious to see how it goes. Johnboy says he can't get any bowlift, but I think it's his prop. Gonna let him try one of mine to see what happens. Hope it warms up soon for you guys. We're already out makin' steam.

The water temp here is only 66 deg., but the sun is pretty warm. If I go in the Savannah River, we still have some debris coming down, so you have to be careful. Me and Johnboy are going out in the marsh rivers toward the coast though. It's pretty brackish, but ther's no deadwood floating. Did you know your boat runs faster in salt water than fresh? I guess it's more dense, and the boat can get out of the water easier. Maybe we'll get some pics or a short vid for you guys. Heck, it's mid April. Winter sould be over soon for you guys. I hope so, I want to here some good stories.

Hey Rut, where do you boat? That creek by Burlington shows no sign of boats on Google Earth. It didn't even show a name. Are you going up to the big lake?

I'll try to check it out and see if I can spot it. You're welcome here anytime you want to come. Lots of cool marshland and rivers here. Hope you break that logjam soon! I hate people that use the water for a trash dump.
