cn sum1 plz xplain how to do a core sample for me i kno my vector probly needs 1 but it doesnt feel soft or lookat all moldy or black [when look n w top layer glass stil intact]

Not sure what others will tell you.

I use a 3/4" hole saw, which in essence takes a 3/4" plug out for your inspection.

The plug will stay in your hole saw, just push the plug out and see what you have and how bad it is.

That's how I do it. Just make sure the 1/4" center pilot bit is just barely protruding beyond the hole saw teeth. :up:

Using this method, and since the floor is out, hit the pad core first, then move to the floor register area near the back of the boat. If its wet or rotten, you'll see evidence from one location or the other.

Depth is VERY IMPORTANT in this test. The inner skin is about 1/8" thick, and that's as deep as you want to go when cutting.
