Bought a Canadian Edition AE-21!!

I sold my Valero YT a few weeks back and low and behold, the day the guy picks up my Valero, a very clean AE-21 pops up for sale that very night!!! To make a long story short, I was on the road the next morning to pick up a very rare Canadian Edition AE21 hull and trailer. I'm going to take my time rerigging the boat as it will receive all new gages, jack plate, steering, etc. I'm also going to glass in some new transom knees for precaution. This boat is the boat that was in the 1992 NY boat show with Jim Tucker. I am the second owner!!!! Here's a thread with some pics!! http://checkmate-boats.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15824

I haven't decided on power yet...but it will most likely be a Mercury Racing 2.5 carb or 260....

I love the AE When I was looking to buy another stream I was lookin for an HST or AE....Both are hard to find in good shape...The HST is cool but man I wish I had the Extra bit of room the AE has..Xspecially since I use mine as a family boat....And I kinda like the looks of the AE better...Cant get much better looks than a VKING If I could Find a mint/perfect AE the right color I would prolly sell the HST...

I was just looking at it again and noticed the colored windshield. I wonder if that is factory or someone had it made. I have only seen em in smoke. I would love to get a blue one for my Vulture.

The windshield came straight from the factory in the tinted color...I think the smoked screen would've looked better on the blue/red/silver boat but I guess Jim Tucker thought otherwise when building the boat for the NYC boat show...
