Hey all, I am new here and to fast boats in general. Trying to figure out exactly what boat I have. Looks to be just like a Hydrostream Vector without the windshield and elevated rear sides. Any ideas? Sorry if pics suck. First timer. Thanks in advance for your experience and suggestions. Hull ID is H2596379.

Welcome, and you're right..." Looks to be just like a Hydrostream Vector without the windshield and elevated rear sides. " However the VIN does not correspond with Hydrostream VIN formula. I can only speculate but maybe because it never had a windshield, running lights or a floor, it's a race model..... or it's a splash. Either way, it's interesting and unique.

This is the first time I've been able to see the interior of this hull. I'm no Hydrostream expert, just do a lot of research. The layout looks like a comp model Hydrostream, however the heavily modified deck is a strange one to me. From what I can find the race boats Howard produced may not have had a windshield but still had the deck that would accept them. Also as stated above the HIN doesn't fit with the typical Hydrostream "HSP" as the first three digits. Is there anything under the rub rail, like the small aluminum rail they used? Either way its still a sharp boat!

As stated by tnelson77, can you pull back any of that rub rail to see if there is anything under it? That hull screams Vector, but with the sides cut down. I think it was Ronnies Marine (Im sure I have that wrong) that has rebuilt a few streams over the rears and they have modified a few hydrostream hulls like this.

Again though, that HIN is not an anything that would be issued by a manufacturer. HIN should always start with a 3 letter suffix to signify the boat Manufacturer Identification Code. Example, HSP is Hydrostream, ALT is Allison, Etc... You can look up MICs here also - https://uscgboating.org/content/manufacturers-identification.php

Is there any way you can take a picture of the HIN?
