I love those windshields excaept for the seam down the middle . I researched them after seeing one on a Vector that was pictured on http://www.hydrostream.org. and it gave me the idea for my seamless one that everyone will see soon.

I have spent hours trying to find info on this sterling model but have only found one on iboats but with no pic. it was an 81. specs were 17 feet long weighing 650 pounds unrigged.rated for 150 hp. They must not have made many of them.

does anyone have any info on them ? I would like to see some more pics.

Yea the seam in the middle is a little ugly which could be made one peice to get rid of the seam. A template would have to be made with cardboard or something so you could cut the plexiglass. my experience with a windshield like that is people want to grab it for suport while getting in and out which pulls out fasteners or break it. Some type of grab rail needs to protect it like was used on the scarrabs and villans back in mid 80's with that type of windshield but will add extra weight that i am not sure I want.

It is very unique and i like it.
i would like to see what you do with yours.

With mine what im trying to do is accually make a recess grove in the deck . Once the windshield is set in place it will be filled and smoothed to make it an intrigral part of the deck. The trickiest thing so far is forming the plexiglass to the right shape which is probably why they made theirs in 2 pieces . I have had to scrap a few so far on trial and error because its such a big piece .
