Ive been doing a full restoration a 1978 Vandal. I had absolutly no experience in boat fiberglass before i started. I have to say i think i will be much smarter at buying boats from this.
I have to thank the internet for the guidance, and knowledge. I thought i would post here, and ask some questions.

Cant wait to be Stream'n!

The transom was never broken, and the splashwell areas in decent shape. I decided not to cut the top skin off the transom because the skin on the back was very thin. Pictures speak...

And here is where im at now. Grinding out a million blisters and gonna try to straighten out the bottom the best i can. The "hook" in the pad is not as bad as before re coring. I suspended the shell on three points while working inside.

The rest of the bottom, besides blisters and nics is pretty straight.

I decided to grind em out. Its gonna be awhile! I dont have access to a gelciat peeler, or i would remove all the running surface gel.

After filling i think i will lay a 4 oz over it all before adding for fairing/straightening.

No but, there’s always a market for any Hydrostream here in southern Ontario. In any condition, if it’s priced according it will sell.

Pandemic progress! It’s on year 4 of being in the shop as a side project. It will be getting wet next summer. Very nice to see the end in sight.
