Project Mailbox...

Well, I decided to do something a bit different and here it is. Nothing major but it should look kinda cool.

So I am in major need of a new mailbox due to a door that no longer closes from being beat to death one to many times it looks like and not to mention the bullet hole in it so yesterday I went to my local Menards and dug through a bunch of mailboxes to find the right one and I found it. You know how hard it is to find a white mailbox and one that is smooth on top of it around here? I found one though so I took it home with me and sat and looked at it for a while trying to think what I can do and just then it hit me... Follow along...

Here is my new untouched mailbox

I always wanted a 33hp johnson for a mailbox, because it is the only thing they were good for. :D

I don't know, they make pretty good anchors too!

Conversely, my father has a '63 "Fastwin" 18hp (same style) he bought new and that was/is a great motor.

Well, Here it is... Nothing fancy or over the top. Just wanted something different and I had some scrap pieces of black vinyl so I used a piece up.

Now if this wind ever dies down I just might walk my *** all the way down my muddy driveway and replace my mailbox with a nice new shinny one that doesn't collect and hold water. Nothing like soggy bills. :pound:

If this one does get replaced (Smashed, or bullet holes LoL) it will be one with a merc feel for sure. I already have a friend that wants a new one but as a merc and I might take him up on it next weekend.

You know, it might look good if you used a tiller handle for the flag.
