V-King V hull vs. YT ?

Post: # 11132Post thelittledoos »

New member that formally had a 78' Viper. Wish I kept it. Always liked the V-king and have wondered how the normal V hull compared to the YT? Which is faster? Is one more stable than the other. Courious what the differences are.

Welcome to the forum.

The standard v will be faster, the yt will be easier to drive on the pad with the sponsons but the extra drag is what causes them to be a little slower. I'm only guessing on ride quality but I would bet the yt would ride better in choppy water. This is based on my xt vegas that takes choppy water great once you get enough speed to start getting air under the hull to help cushion the hull.
